I have played millions of rounds of blackjack. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have bet on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent an abundance of cash at chemin de fer. The gambling dens have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have gambled on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, however you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the MGM a few years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this technique! And a few months ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You need to understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Bet $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the first five dollar wager
Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 10 dollar wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of twenty dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the original 20 dollar wager
Wager twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $40 wager
Bet forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet $160
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial 1 hundred and sixty dollar wager
If you left at this instance you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s difficult to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
